Established in the Bahamas in 1979, Michael University stands as a beacon of higher education on New Providence Island. Founded by Dr. Joseph M. Turnquest, The Honorable Dr. Justice Nicholas Liverpool, who served as the President of Dominica, and the late Sir Leonard Knowles, the sixth President of Dominica and the first Chief Justice of the independent Bahamas, the university’s philosophy revolves around fostering a better world through educational and cultural encounters. Michael University offers a diverse range of programs, including certificates, diplomas, and academic degrees, aiming to make education accessible to students locally and globally. With a multicultural outlook, the university promotes understanding and cooperation among its community members, emphasizing ethics, environmental sustainability, and peaceful coexistence. Michael University is dedicated to upholding quality education through its internal Quality Assurance Committee, ensuring continuous improvement in teaching and services for the benefit of students worldwide. Additionally, the university holds Articulation Agreements with the Ministry of Superior Education, Havana University, and The Higher Technical University (Cujae), Havana, Republic of Cuba, further enriching its educational offerings and global partnerships.

University, Cuba dated August 2006. Articulation Agreement between Michael University and Higher
Technical University “Jose Antonino Echevarria,” dated August 30th, 2006. Articulation Agreement
between Michael University and the Ministry of Higher Education, Cuba dated September 7th, 2006,
which is a revised version of the first agreement dated May 5th, 2003.
